Hello @Sid09 ,
Welcome to our community.
Please try the following steps for your case:
1. Power Supply Check: Ensure you are using the original power adapter that came with your router. Try plugging the router into a different power socket or outlet.
2. Firmware Update: Log in to your router's web interface by entering http://tplinkwifi.net in your browser. Go to Advanced > System > Firmware Update and check if there is a firmware update available. If so, update to the latest version.
3. Device Isolation Test: For troubleshooting, unplug all Ethernet cables from the router and change your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) to disconnect all wireless devices. Check whether the router continues to reboot. This helps determine if a connected device is the cause of the anomaly.
Have you enabled the MLO network? If yes, please disable it for a try.
If the suggestions above don't help, please contact local support for further help.

Hi Joseph,
I have upgraded my BE400 V1.0 device to software version 1.2.3 Build 20260107, and since then I have been experiencing constant reboots. This issue was not present with the previous version (1.1.2 Build 20251021).
The device is configured as a Mesh extender, onboarding to a BE550.
I understand that this version does not allow a downgrade, so I would appreciate it if you could provide a solution or workaround to resolve this instability.
I look forward to your response.
Thank you very much.

Hello @Fibertincho ,
Welcome to our community.
Have you tried performing an isolation test? That is, temporarily disconnect the BE400 from your Mesh network:
• Unplug all Ethernet cables attached to the BE400
• Change the Wi-Fi network name to something different to disconnect all wireless client devices
• See if the self-rebooting still occurs when the device is isolated
What is the firmware and hardware version of your BE550? Please let me know if your network topology diagram is as follows: ISP modem—router )))((( client devices
(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )
We have a new firmware for Archer BE400-v1. You can also install it and test if it help: New Firmware for Archer BE400 V1 to Support IPv6 VPN, Wake On LAN, and More

Hello @Fibertincho ,
Thanks for getting back to us.
The following are some suggestions that may help:
1. Try resetting the BE400 satellite router to factory defaults and reconfigure it as a satellite device. Note: After resetting or setting it to satellite mode, avoid logging into its web management page again, as this may switch it back to main router mode.
2. Verify the physical placement of the BE400 • ensure it's in an open area rather than inside a cabinet or shelf, and consider moving it closer to the BE550 temporarily to test if distance or interference is a factor.
3. Check if you're using Ethernet Backhaul or Wireless Backhaul:
• If using Ethernet Backhaul: Verify the Ethernet cable between the BE550 and BE400 is connected properly and try replacing it with a new cable. Also try using different LAN ports on both routers.
• If using Wireless Backhaul: Try adjusting the wireless channels on the BE550 to avoid interference. Go to Advanced > Wireless > Wireless Settings and test different channels.

Hello,
Thanks for your suggestions.
- I have reset the BE400 to factory defaults and reconfigured it, performing the onboarding process again with the BE550. My understanding is that once it is configured as a satellite, accessing the GUI should not revert it back to router mode—it would be quite unusual if that happens.
- The BE400 is placed in an open environment, outside of any locations that could interfere with the signal. The distance to the BE550 is around 8 meters with line of sight.
- The Backhaul has been tested using both methods (Ethernet and Wi-Fi), and it is currently using Wi-Fi. The environment is practically free of interference on UNI-1, UNI-2, UNI-2 extended, and channels in 6 GHz, so a transmission channel issue seems unlikely.
Best regards,
Martin

Hello @Fibertincho ,
Are you saying that you navigated from the BE550 GUI to the BE400 GUI before performing the firmware update? Rather than updating the BE400 firmware directly through the BE550 GUI, is that correct?
Generally speaking, updating the firmware of a Satellite node should not cause it to revert to router mode. However, based on your description, didn’t the firmware update result in frequent automatic reboots?
Our preliminary assessment is that this may be a random occurrence or a situation triggered under specific conditions.
We haven’t received any related feedback yet, so we may need your assistance in gathering some information for further analysis. The tech team will likely reach out to you via email to continue troubleshooting. Please check your email inbox and confirm.
