Model: Archer TX50UH
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I purchased the TX50UH V1 which only connects if I reboot Sky Max hub router each time. Sometimes It does connect to the router but with no internet access as well.

The Sky Max Hub is locked down so you cannot amend channels and I have checked nothing is restricted.

(other devices connect fine via wifi)

I have tried:

  1. ipcong /release and /renew and dnsflush

  2. Amending preferred band on the adapter config

  3. Network reset

  4. Restarting adapter

  5. Rebooting PC

  6. Checked latest drivers (where were "2023 Archer TX50UH(US,EU,CA,JP) v1_5001.19.102.1_win10_win11")

  7. Tried setting DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

I am unsure what else to try? Help!

Hello @Jonf64 ,

Welcome to our community.

Here are some suggestions that may help you:

  1. If your computer has a built-in Wi-Fi adapter, disable it to avoid possible interference.
  2. Move your TP-Link adapter closer to the router (ideally within 10-15 feet) to improve signal strength.
  3. Power-saving modes can sometimes cause disconnections. Make sure power-saving mode is disabled in Device Manager.
  4. If possible, connect the adapter to another network for comparison.

For detailed instructions, please refer to Case 2 on this FAQ page: What should I do if the TP-Link network adapter is not working properly in my computer?
