Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20250717 Rel 40826 (455)

Since installing my Archer AX73 on 20th December 2025 I have been experiencing some issues.

From 20th December my anti-malware software has blocked 61 malicious sites attempting to gain access to my system or to various Windows system files.

My wireless printer has been randomly spitting out blank pages.

Neither of these issues were present prior to installing the Archer AX73 router. My previous router was supplied by my ISP some years ago. Only occasionally would MWB advise of a blocked web site (it's usually Acronis updater tool).

Can you advise what course of action I can take to prevent these attempted attacks please? Any settings I can look into in order to thwart the hoodie-wearing boys in their basements?

My issue has now been resolved. A professional IT Technician visited my home and spent an hour sorting out my internet connection and Wi Fi Router. During this time he spoke with my Internet Service Provider for over 20 minutes and between them were able to set up my Archer AX73 following a reset to factory default.

Hello @FrankM6152 ,

Welcome to our community.

Here are some important steps you can take to protect your network and prevent unauthorized access:
1. Disconnect Affected Devices: If you suspect any device is compromised, immediately disconnect it from the internet. If the issue seems widespread, consider disconnecting the entire network temporarily to stop any ongoing unauthorized access.
2. Change All Passwords: Update both your wireless network password and the administrator password for your router. Use strong, unique passwords and avoid reusing passwords across different accounts or devices.
3. Run Security Scans: Use reputable antivirus and anti-malware tools to scan all your devices for potential threats. Remove any detected malware or suspicious files.
4. Set Up Access Control: Configure your router's access control settings to allow only trusted devices to connect to your Wi-Fi network. This limits exposure to unauthorized devices.
5. Disable Remote Management: Unless necessary, turn off the remote management feature on your router. This reduces the risk of external attacks targeting your router's settings.

Regarding printer activity, does it randomly print blank pages after a print task is scheduled, or does it automatically print blank pages even when there is no print task?
