Hi,

 

Router: TP Link Archer C6 

 

When i added the cloudflare DNS to the router my Windows 11 laptops were not connecting to the WiFi but my Android mobiles WiFi were working properly. My TV and a Desktop PC with Windows 11 were working properly. The error what i was getting while trying to connect the Laptops was "can't connect to this network".

I tried connecting through LAN port still it was not connect again showing DNS error on browser, tried solving thru trouble shoot and thru the diagnosis still nothing.

 

After resetting the network setting also it did not connect.

Later I had to reset the Router and everything is working fine.

 

My question is: In this Router can we OR can we not add the Cloudflare DNS?

Hi,

 

Cloudflare DNS should work fine. Can you please show exactly how you added Cloudflare DNS to the router? Were you trying to use DNS over HTTPS?

 

And after you removed Cloudflare DNS from the router, the two Windows 11 laptops still could not connect? That makes no sense.

Hi,

 

Yes, everything was working quite fine after removing the Cloudflare DNS  and resetting the router. Both the laptops were working without any issue.

So you entered 1.1.1.1 in the field "Primary DNS" and 1.0.0.1 in the field "Secondary DNS", right?
 

Anyway, unless you are living in a country that is blocking Cloudflare, the above DNS addresses should work.

When someone is using the DNS he will use the Primary and Secondary as well.

 

My website is also with cloudflare which is working quite fine. 

And the cloudflare DNS is not blocked as it is working on my desktop, TV and android mobile. If it is blocked how others are working?
