RE235BE has always changed it bandwidth
Model: RE235BE
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.10 Build 20250424
rel.41614
It is just as the title my RE235BE has always changed the bandwidth to 80mhz. The channel is 40 and I think it will not be interfered by radar.
Please investigate this problem.

Hello @jacky123451,
Welcome to our community.
Have you been able to check if the main router's channel and channel width have changed?
What if you remove the extender and test the main router separately?

My main router BE805 has never change the width. It's the newest software version.BE805 has always kept 160mhz.

Hi@jacky123451,
The channel width setting (20/40/80/160 MHz) is typically negotiated automatically between the router and the extender, based on wireless conditions and compatibility. Even if your main router is set to 160 MHz, the Range Extender may operate at 80 MHz if the wireless environment or device compatibility requires it.

I see. But the RE235BE has changed the bandwidth too frequent. My RE655BE has never happened this width changed problem.

Hello @jacky123451 ,
Will this change in channel width directly affect your network usage? If not, I think you can ignore it for now.
If you still want channel width on the RE235BE, you can try the following:
1. Shorten the distance between the router and the RE235BE;
2. If you haven't created a mesh network, please create one and try it, especially with wired backhaul.
Wireless interference or weak signals in the environment can cause frequency throttling.
Additionally, 160MHz inevitably crosses the DFS, which is also an important factor.

It's not affect my main network usage. But the BE805's WiFi signal is weak so i have to use extender on the second floor.
Answer
1. Shorten the distance between the router and the RE235BE;
By using the location assistant it says too close to the router.
2. If you haven't created a mesh network, please create one and try it, especially with wired backhaul.
Of course I made a mesh network via wireless backhaul.
