Model: RE330
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have just purchased the RE330 range extender. I have tried setting up via WPS button, but internet connection light does not come on. Have tried pairing via the router settings, says successfully paired but again the internet light is not showing on the extender. Had previously tried the Tether app and web browse with no luck. However I do appear to have 2 new network connections showing (BH9E0EF0-2.4GEXT and BH9E0EF0-EXT), which I presume are the extender. They are both password protected. The instructions say the password should be the same password as the router, but it is not accepted. Before I give up and return this item would anyone have a soltion for this problem?

@woozle Thanks for the response. I had tried to delete my query as I finally got the extender to work. I did a factory reset on the extender, and this time everything worked as per the setting up instructions. Just to answer your questions the network BH9E0EF0 was definitely created by the extender. The internet light was the light second from the left that shows the strength of the signal.

Hi,

Is "BH9E0EF0" the name of the Wi-Fi network(s) of your Wi-Fi router? I am just asking, because such a name is not something one would see often.

In case the Wi-Fi network(s) of your router are not named "BH9E0EF0" (and you also never typed "BH9E0EF0" manually), then it would mean something did not go right during the pairing. Normally, after a successful pairing the names of the extender's Wi-Fi networks would reflect the names of the Wi-Fi networks of the router with an added "_EXT" at the end.

Also, can you please clarify "the Internet light is not showing on the extender"? Are you referring to the Internet indicator in the Tether app? I have similar extender models and none has a physical light indicating the availability of Internet.
