Hi ,

 

Regarding the above .

I have noticed that devices connected via the above are losing connection several times a day ( and then try and connect to the main router.) There is no disconnections from the main router which it is connected to .

The extender to only about 7m from the main router

I have tried resetting and reconfiguring several times but the issue persist.

Please advise

When the wireless connection drops, what is the RE light status of the RE550? Here are some Troubleshooting Steps that may help:

1. Ensure the SSID of the range extender is different from the router's. If it's the same, suggest the user reset and reconfigure, and change the SSID of the range extender.

2. Check the signal light on the range extender:

a. Green, and the 5ghz or 2.4Ghz RE light is off, suggest the user fix the 5ghz channel(band 1) and 2.4ghz channel(1/6/11) on the router

b. Red, move the range extender closer to the router

c. Off, suggest the user fix the 2.4ghz channel into 1/6/11 and the 5ghz channel into band1.

Hi Not sure the state on the light when it happens as I only realise it has happened when the device have app tried to migrate to the source route . It is as if the service drops and then comes back up! Looking in the Tether app the signal back to the main network appears to be good . Please advise
