Just recived my new router and even though I can see the wifi signal in networks, it will not connect to the internet when I insert the default password.

I have tried to scan and go through setup numerous times but I always fail at the 'test connection' step.I tried resetting the router and modem several times but no luck. I plugged my old router in and everything is working fine, what could be the issue? 

Please help

May I know the hardware and firmware version of your router?

 

If you want to configure the router, please confirm that you have gotten the correct info to configure the router.
