Model: Archer BE805
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1 Build 20250915 rel.62093(5347)

Hi

Problem: TP-Link HB710 + Archer BE805 EasyMesh 6GHz SSID _EXT Issue

Network Configuration

  • Main Router: TP-Link HB710 (StarHub ISP variant, BE18000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7) (Firmware: 0.2.0 3.0.0 v60be.0 Build 250418 Rel.52378n / Hardware Version:HB710 v1.0)

  • Satellite: TP-Link Archer BE805 (BE19000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 router) configured as EasyMesh satellite (Firmware: 1.3.1 Build 20250915 rel.62093(5347) / Hardware Version: v1.0)

  • Backhaul: Ethernet (wired connection verified)

  • Issue: BE805 6GHz SSID broadcasts as "[NetworkName]_EXT" instead of unified SSID matching HB710

Observed Behavior

HB710 identifies BE805 as OneMesh extender rather than EasyMesh satellite router, triggering _EXT suffix on 6GHz band only. 2.4GHz/5GHz SSIDs remain unified. Ethernet backhaul connection confirmed active in HB710 EasyMesh topology view.

This there anyway to make the 6Ghz SSID unified since both HB710 and BE805 are fully Easymesh supported?

Better still, unified MLO SSID will be great.

 Thanks

Hello @PandaJas ,

Welcome to our community.

It has been confirmed that the Archer BE805 currently does not support extended 6G and MLO networks.

Additionally, the HB710 is an ISP-customized device. Its EasyMesh component may differ from the Archer BE805's due to firmware differences, which could be causing the Archer BE805 to be incorrectly displayed as a OneMesh device.

If this does not affect your network usage, I suggest you patiently wait for a future firmware update.

  @Joseph-TP

Thanks for responding.

Seems like waiting for firmware upgrade is the only path currently.

When will the next upgrade cycle will be for both models? Looking at the HB710 firmware that was installed, it suggested that it is at least 10 months old. That's a long waiting time.

Hello @PandaJas ,

We also do not have a firmware update schedule for these two models. For the HB710, please note that it is an ISP-customized device. You can also try contacting Local Support.
