I have seen the TP Link guide on setting up a VLAN, but it doesn't match my setup. - https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/788/

I have an AXE5400.  Port 1 goes to my main switch (TL-SG3424P).  Ports 2 - 4 have home devices.

On my main switch, ports 1 - 3 have 3 EAP245 AP's that I want to be private.  Ports 4 to 23 have a variety of devices including CCTV cameras.  Port 24 is from the AXE5400.

What I want to achieve is 1 VLAN for ports 1 -3 of the SG3424 and 1 VLAN for everything else.  The issue I have is understanding how it is configured.  The tutorial draws the switch and the router separately.  The AXR5400 is both devices in one.  How do I configure this?  Many thanks.

Hi,

TP-Link's routers designed for home use, like the "Archer" models, do not have the VLAN feature you are looking for.

  @woozle Thanks for the reply.

I hope you are wrong because I was explicitly told that it would when I asked a pre sales question.  I have reached out to support, but if you are right I guess this one goes back to Amazon.

Which routers do you think I am best looking at?  Cheers.

There are no secret or hidden menus on TP-Link routers. If you can't see the VLAN options you are looking for, then they don't exist.

TP-Link basically offers two major lines of products. One product line suited for the general home user (to which the Archer AXE5400 belongs to) and another one suited for the demands of "small and medium-sized businesses" (to which the TL-SG3424P belongs to). The latter supports setting up VLANs.

On tp-link.com click on "BUSINESS" at the top of the webpage to see TP-Link's business products. You can download the documentation for each product or use the "Emulators" provided by TP-Link to see what features and options each product offers. The general layout of the menus of other business products will be similar to your TL-SG3424P, so it should appear familiar to you.
