Hello everyone, good morning.

My old e-mail address is near to be dismissed, so since it's my TP-Link user ID, I'd like to change it to my new one to avoid to found my TP-Link access locked (old e-mail no longer active).

What can I do?

Thank you in advance for your attention, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello @CapSolo_65 ,

Welcome to our community.

It seems that your old email address is about to be deactivated, and you'd like to change it to your new email to maintain access to your TP-Link account.
Unfortunately, TP-Link ID email addresses cannot be directly changed or transferred. To use your new email address as your TP-Link ID, you'll need to:

1. Register a new TP-Link ID with your new email address. If you don't have one yet, you can create it following this guide: What is TP-Link ID and how to create a TP-Link ID?
2. Rebind your TP-Link devices to the new TP-Link ID. To do this, you'll need to:
   • Reset your devices to factory settings
   • Set them up again and bind them to your new TP-Link ID

Please note: If you have any subscriptions (such as HomeShield), these cannot be transferred between TP-Link IDs. You would need to subscribe again with the new account.

If you failed to rebind the device to the new TP-Link ID, please try to contact local support for further help.

Hi Joseph, good evening.

Thank you so much for your quick reply.

I was hoping it was possible to simply change the email address.

If there's no other way, I'll follow your suggestion.

Best regards,
