Hi, I am currently using a TP-Link NX200 with a 5G SIM card because fibre optic is not available in my area.

My house has 3 floors. The NX200 is located on the first floor. On the second floor, I have an old TP-Link access point that is connected to a built-in Ethernet port, which links back to the first floor. So the NX200 is directly wired to the old access point.

The problem is that there are two different SSIDs, which causes conflicts and requires manual switching. Additionally, the third floor has poor Wi-Fi reception, and there is no Ethernet port available there.

I am considering using a mesh system like the TP-Link Deco M4 to solve these issues. My first idea is to buy a 2-pack Deco M4, place one unit on the second floor connected to the built-in wall Ethernet, and place the second unit on the third floor using wireless backhaul.

Alternatively, if there are conflicts, I am thinking of getting a 3-pack Deco system, turning off the Wi-Fi on the NX200 (using it only as a modem), and placing one Deco unit on each floor.

Would either of these setups be feasible?

Should work, I use similar setup and made NX200 wifi hidden.  Mesh may have signal issue between nodes and I connected via CAT6 cable, evaluate wifi-7 mesh as they can combine bands for bandwidth between nodes.
