Firmware Version: 1.4.5 Build 20250928 rel.17568

Hello. I was using C80 router for 5 years and there were no problem. I have 100 mbps internet speed and in fact no need to update maybe but i wanted to try wifi 6 wireless lan performance and i bought AX72 Pro. But i think that ax72 pro is upper class router, so everything should be better as well. :) Yes, most of the things are better. But when i do speed test on internet, my old C80 is giving; Ping 4, Jitter 1, Download speed 90, upload speed 40. But with 6 antennas A72 Pro is giving Ping 7, Jitter 8, Download 75, Upload 25. Mosts of test results are in this range. So i checked lots of things, detailed settings, transimission power, changed channels etc. But nothing changed. So i want to ask what i am doing wrong.Thx.

Hello @textineer ,

Welcome to our community.

May I know your Internet plan? If it is about 100M.  Both the Archer C80 and Archer AX72 Pro are gigabit routers, so there might not be a significant speed improvement.

Although the Archer AX72 Pro has higher specifications than the Archer C80, the actual speed often depends on the negotiation between the client and the router.

Here are some tips to improve your router's speed:
1. If Ethernet speed is slower than expected (e.g., limited to 100Mbps), ensure your router supports gigabit or higher speed, try using different Ethernet cables (CAT5E or above) between the router and your PC, and between the router and your modem.
2. Log in to the web interface of the router (http://tplinkwifi.net), go to Advanced > QoS, and make sure QoS is disabled.
3. Open the Tether app, go to Parental Control, and ensure no parental control profile is configured.
4. If wireless speed is slower than expected, go to the web interface > Advanced > Wireless Settings to change the 5GHz Wi-Fi channel • test different channels to find the best one for your environment.
5. Go to the web interface > Advanced > NAT Forwarding > UPNP to disable UPNP, then go to Advanced > Security to disable SIP ALG. These features may affect Wi-Fi performance and speedtest results.
6. Speedtest by Ookla allows you to select different servers • try other speedtest servers, as some servers may provide better speeds.
