Extender stopped working and will not connect
The last couple of weeks the extender has stopped working. Nothing will connect, I have reset the extender, the tether app finds the extender but will not connect. I have done the hard reset for 10 seconds and still nothing. Not sure what to do

May I know the LED status of the RE550 when the network drops? If your extender was working fine before but has suddenly stopped functioning, here are some troubleshooting steps that should help:
1. Restart both devices: Try restarting both your router and the extender.
2. Check your router's Wi-Fi: Ensure the router's Wi-Fi network is working properly by connecting other devices to it.
3. Check the distance: Ensure that your extender is within range of the router • not too far away.
4. Avoid interference: Keep the extender away from interfering devices like metal objects, fish tanks, microwaves, Bluetooth devices, and similar items.
5. Proper reset procedure: Use a pin to press the reset hole for 1-8 seconds (not 10 seconds) to restore the extender to factory default. All lights will turn on momentarily when the extender resets successfully. Then launch the Tether App, click the top right "+" button to add it. Thanks for replying at the moment all lights are on blue except for the big circle which is red. I have done all the steps you mentioned. Rebooting router and extender, resetting using one second, resetting using 10 seconds and reset with 8 seconds it does nothing. It does not even reset.
the tether app sees the extender, gives me the option to connect to 2.4g and 5g but when I press to connect it says failed to connect.
