Wtfast in ge800 tplink
I've subscribed to WTFast a bunch of times, but it's just not working for me. I even reached out to their team, and they think it might be a firmware problem with my GE800 TP-Link. I'm writing this because this program hasn't helped us at all. We haven't gotten anything out of it. Could you please talk to the WTFast team and help us get a good WTFast? Right now, there's no routing or anything from WTFast that's helping us.

Hello @Sulooo ,
Welcome to our community.
Please run the WTFast application directly on your computer, subscribe to its service, and test whether it helps speed up your games.
If it does, then log in to the corresponding WTFast account on your router and test if it works.
Additionally, what specific symptoms are you experiencing when you can't use the WTFast service? For example, can't log into the game? Or are there others? Please provide screenshots of the relevant error messages.

I've done everything, closed the router and PS5 many times, but it isn't working. It gave me a "NAT type failed" error when activating WTFast, and when I search for online games, it doesn't find any players to play with and doesn't route me to the server I've chosen.

Also, I enabled UPnP.
Solution B: Assign a Static IP and use DMZ. It still gave me a failed NAT type on PS.

Hello @Sulooo ,
It appears your network has double NAT. I'd like to confirm if your network topology is as follows: Fiber optic cable -> Modem -> Your gaming router -> Clients
If your modem has a standalone NAT, you'll likely need to set it to bridge mode. For specific instructions, it's recommended to contact your ISP to confirm if this is feasible.
Alternatively, configure port forwarding on your gaming router for the PS. Port forwarding: how to set up virtual server on TP-Link wireless router?

Connection Type: PPPoE
UPnP Status: Enabled and working correctly for all other devices and boosters.
Current NAT Status: I consistently get NAT Type 2 on my PS5 with my normal connection and when using other boosters like GearUP.
The Issue: When I enable WTFast and restart the PS5, the connection test results in "NAT Type: Failed."
I have already verified that my router is handling all port assignments automatically via UPnP. Since my other programs work perfectly without manual intervention, why does WTFast require manual port forwarding?
Could you please confirm if there are specific ports I must manually open to resolve this, or if there is a conflict between the WTFast virtual adapter and the PS5’s NAT check?

Hello @Sulooo ,
Thanks for getting back to us.
So it seems you can enable the WTFast service on the GE800 for other clients, besides the PS5?
We would like to escalate your case to the support engineers, and they will follow up on it. If you are willing to conduct further analysis, please check your inbox and respond.
