Deco E4 Speed
Hi. I've just upgraded my internet to fibre with a speed of 500mb. I've tested the speed through ethernet, and I am indeed getting 500mb. I've connected my Deco E4R to the new router but it's only giving me a speed of 90mb. Is there something I should be doing or it the E4R not capable of speeds over 90mb?
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for reaching out! I understand that you've upgraded to 500Mbps fiber internet, confirmed the full speed via direct ethernet connection, but your Deco E4R is only delivering around 90Mbps. You're wondering if the E4R is capable of higher speeds or if there's a configuration issue.
The Deco E4 model is equipped with Fast Ethernet (100Mbps) ports, which means the maximum wired speed it can handle is approximately 100Mbps. The ~90Mbps you're experiencing is actually close to the hardware limit of this model. Unfortunately, this is a hardware limitation that cannot be overcome through configuration changes.
To fully utilize your 500Mbps fiber connection, you would need to upgrade to a Deco model with Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbps) ports or higher. Most modern Deco models feature Gigabit ports as standard. You can find models that meet your speed requirements by checking the specifications on the TP-Link website: https://www.tp-link.com/home-networking/deco/
