awful connection speed on TX20U Plus
I just bought and installed a new TX20U Plus, but for some reason it can't reach even a remotely usable connection speed. my internet is 700mb, and every other device connected gets to at least 400mb, but this thing can't seem to reach beyond 50mb — it only got to about 30mb out of the box, but after trying almost everything on the FAQ and even on some of the other threads here I managed to get it consistently to around 45mb - 50mb.
things I've already tried:
1 switching USB ports
2 moving it around a bit closer to my router
3 checking the wifi connection on other devices in the same spot
4 updating the driver (currently using 5001.19.113.4)
5 changing the settings to those recommended by mods in the forum (USB set to 3.0, disable roaming sensitivity, etc, whatever all of these mean)
7 resetting the pc and the router multiple times
the adapter is properly plugged into an USB 3.0 port and the connection to the router seems to be fine (5ghz band, wifi 6), so I'm kinda stumped. thanks in advance, any help is appreciated (also, I'm a total tech illiterate so if you're gonna try to help please explain it to me like I'm 10)
