If your Tether App password is not working, please also try the following:
• Make sure your mobile device is connected to the router's main Wi-Fi network (not a guest network).
• Turn off any VPN and disable mobile/cellular data on your device.
• For iOS devices, enable "Local Network Access" for the Tether App (go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > Tether > enable Local Network Access).
• Reboot your router and force close then reopen the Tether App
If you'd like to change or reset it, here's how you can reset your TP-Link ID password:
1. You can reset your TP-Link ID password using the Tether app or by visiting https://community.tp-link.com/en/forgetpw. Click "Forgot password", enter your email address, and follow the link sent to your email to reset your password.
2. If you no longer have access to the email associated with your TP-Link ID, you will need to create a new TP-Link ID with a different email address.
Once you've reset your password, try logging into the Tether App again.
