Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Construction 20250731 Rel. 15505

Hi everyone,

I have a Deco BE85 EU v1 as main node (firmware 1.2.1 Build 20250731) connected via ethernet to a Freebox Ultra (8 Gbps fiber).

Problem: The 6GHz band broadcasts at 20MHz despite being set to 320MHz in the app. Verified with WiFi Analyzer on a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Both my WiFi 7 clients (MacBook Air M4 2025 and Galaxy S25 Ultra) connect in 802.11ax (WiFi 6) instead of 802.11be (WiFi 7).

What I already tried:

  • Factory reset
  • Forced channel 85, then 37 (both still 20MHz)
  • WPA2/WPA3 mixed security
  • Forget and reconnect network on both devices
  • Confirmed 320MHz is selected in channel settings

Result: Wired speed is perfect (7.99 Gbps). WiFi speed is stuck at ~700-800 Mbps on 5GHz. 6GHz is unusable at 20MHz.

Is there a beta firmware available that fixes this issue? Thank you.

For a device to operate at 320 MHz when connecting to 6GHz Wi-Fi, both conditions must be met:

1. The client wireless adapter supports the feature (which your Galaxy S25 Ultra and MacBook Air M4 do support)
2. 320 MHz is enabled on the router AND permitted by regional regulations

This "might" be related to regulatory restrictions in your region. What region are you located in?

Need help with the Deco app, setup, Ethernet backhaul, network switch or rolling back firmware? Router or AP mode? https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/699816?page=1
