What is the signal coming out of my TP - link AC2100?

Hi, I am attempting to have a basic home broadband system with no radio frequencies to speak of issuing from my AC2100. (Not AC2100v) I use an ethernet connection to my computer and have turned off the WiFi in the AC1200 via the WLAN button on the side. When I hold a Safe and Sound Classic ii meter from Safe Living Technologies next to it I get a very strong signal pulsing at about five beats per second.

Back story is that ee hubs (and other home hubs) send out a permanent dect signal regardless of whether a phone is plugged in. I replaced my ee hub with the AC2100 and am using Phonely as my phone provider via an ATA, no dect needed. As I understand it the AC2100 does not have dect capacity.

For a manual for the meter search Safelivingtechnologies Safe and Sound Classic ii (this platform won't let me include the link)  Looking at their 'EMF sounds' page, seems to say it is a 'Wireless router/WiFi' signal. Don't understand this since I have turned the WiFi off.

Can any one tell me if the signal can be disabled and how? I'm not very technical on this subject so would appreciate a response in lay language. Many Thanks!

If your modem router is VR2100 then you have to turn off OneMesh feature as well.

On a TP-Link Modem Router
  1. Open a web browser, type tplinkmodem.net in the address bar, and log in.
  2. Go to the Advanced tab.
  3. Click on OneMesh.
  4. Toggle the OneMesh switch OFF.
If this was helpful click on the arrow pointing upward to make it blue. If this solves your issue, click the star to make it blue as a "Recommended Solution". BTC:149wubkkfoLmNDjDbiTxx4ZU8mpcMA5CJt

I clicked on One Mesh and it showed me this. So no option to toggle. Any other ideas? Ta!

The FW version that you're with at the moment, doesn't have a toggle button to turn OneMesh feature off.

But I noticed something else:

You modem router is reporting a newer FW version to which you can update. Do that and check if there's a button for turning the OneMesh feature off.

If there's no button implemented into the newer FW release as well, you won't be able to turn of the wireless signal that you have discovered earlier.

OMG, silence!!!! You ar amazing, and said in a way that I understood, so many thanks! I have finally after several months of seemingly dead ends got myself a phone system that doesn't pump out emf's: ee as broadband supplier, TP-link AC1200 as modem router, Phonely as phone contract supplier, WiFi and One Mesh turned off.

This may not be a thing for most of you reading this, but to me and many others it is important since these things have a direct and damaging effect on living cells. No, I'm not an expert but lots online that is real science. See The Invisible Rainbow by Firstenberg. Not so much that some people are electrosensitive and some aren't, but that some of us feel the effects in real time.

Al the best!
