My old non-TP-Link powerline died after a few years use so I replaced it with the TP-Link WPA8630P kit.

The kit itself works fine BUT the PA8010P unit beside the router seems to interfere with my wireless mouse and keyboard even though it's using the same power socket as the old kit was.

By necessity of cramped quarters the Microsoft Wireless Desktop Receiver 3.1, Linksys X3500 router and TP-Link PA8010P are each 30cm to 40cm from one another, the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 1000 and Microsoft Optical Mouse 2000 are a further 50cm from the Desktop Receiver. When all are powered on, the keyboard and mouse are virtually unusable. Power off the PA8010P and the keyboard & mouse are perfectly fine again.

I don't actually need the wifi extension facility so was thinking of changing the WPA8630P kit for PA7020P kit, but surely the PS8010P unit which is causing the trouble doesn't itself have wi-fi, isn't the wi-fi just transmitted from the WPA8030P unit which is in an adjacent room (and never powered off)?

The big question, therefore, is will the PA7020P unit cause the same problem as the PA8010P, or will it rectify it?

Thanks for your time
Keith

I have just purchased the TL-WPA8630P KIT and as soon as I plug it in, my wireless mouse and keyboard are negatively impacted. The problem is intermittent. The mouse randomly becomes "sticky", and the keyboard may not record key presses (or may show spurious characters).

The base unit and "slave" unit have 3 and five lights respectively. All are on, solid green.

I have made no other changes to the system. If I unplug the KIT, the problem goes away.

I am using the device to extend my LAN, and that functionality is working, but with an undesirable side-effect on the wireless mouse and keyboard.

Hi Keith. The mouse and keyboard are the " HP KG-1061 2.4GHz Wireless Keyboard & Optical Mouse Kit". The desktop is a HP Envy.
