Hi all,

I've recently bought MR6400 router ( firmware: 1.0.9 Build 151125 Rel.66188n ) and here's the problem I'm experiencing now. I need to connect to L2TP/IPSec VPN server from my Ubuntu desktop. But the connection can't be established. IPSec negotiation completes successfully and the following messages appear in the log:
"xxx" #2: STATE_QUICK_I2: sent QI2, IPsec SA established transport mode {ESP=>0x9b092084 <0x86ff3848 xfrm=AES_128-HMAC_SHA1 NATOA=none NATD=none DPD=none}

xl2tpd[4280]: Connecting to host X.X.X.X, port 1701
xl2tpd[4280]: Maximum retries exceeded for tunnel 8679. Closing.

[ERROR 410] Connection attempt to 'xxx' timed out

where X.X.X.X is the VPN server IP address and 'xxx' is the connection name.

All VPN passthroughs are on and I'm able to connect to the other VPN server using PPTP.
However, if I put the SIM card from the router into my phone, turn on access point on the phone and connect to it from my desktop I'm able to establish the connection to that L2TP/IPSec server, so it means that 4G network has nothing to do with this problem, something is happening in the router.
Did anyone have similar issues?

Thanks is advance.

@poisonriver Hola, estoy buscando respuesta a ese mismo problema.

¿Es posible la conexion a un cliente VPN IPSEC/L2TP con este modelo de router (TL-MR6400)?
