Having problems with the wireless connection to my Kodak Hero5.1 printer

Configuration
Virgin Media Superhub > AV500 sender > several AV500 wifi extenders

We have the Kodak printer in one room with an AV500 wifi extender
And a laptop in kitchen that has an AV500 wifi extender

To get the printer to connect to the laptop we either have to switch off the extender in the printer room so both printer and laptop connect to the extender in the kitchen
or we switch off the extender in the kitchen so both the laptop and printer connect to the extender in the printer room.

It will not work with the laptop connected to the kitchen extender and the printer connected to the printer room extender.

Any ideas as its driving the mrs mad as she works from home.
