Model :
TL-WPA4220(UK) v 1.20
TL-PA8030P(UK) v1.0
TL-PA4010 / UK v 1.20

Firmware Version :

ISP : Virgin Media

Hi

I have just successfully set up AV1200 (TL-PA8030P) Ethernet connections - great.

I've also purchased AV600 to extend my wireless network to get a better signal in another room via wifi.

The AV1200 (TL-PA8030P) is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable

I have also attached the AV600 (TL-PA4010) adaptor to the router via an Ethernet cable *** Do I need to attach this to the router, as the TL-PA8030P is already attached via an ethernet cable *** . When this is attached, it causes the whole wifi network to go down - the WIFI network on the router is showing up, but is showing with no internet connection. When I remove the ethernet cable, everything is fine.

I have an AV600 extender (TL-WPA4220) plugged into a socket in a different room (this could be on a different electrical circuit).

How do I use the TL-WPA4220 to extend my wifi connection ?

Trying to pair the extender with the TL-PA8030P just causes all the lights on the extender to blink

- Power is on
- Powerline blinks every couple of seconds
- Ethernet is off (as I dont have it plugged in)
- WIFI is constantly flashing

The extender isnt showing up in any of my devices wifi connections.

what am I doing wrong here ?

Thanks in advance

Hi
AV1200 and AV600 are not the model number ,please tell what's the model number,it can be found on the label begin with TL-PA or TL-WPA ,and the hardware version, also on the label,if not it must be V1.0
and please put the two units closer and pair,if they can pair successfully(Powerline LED on),move the wireless unit to another room and see if the Powerline LED can be solid on,if not, they mey be too far to communicate.

Thanks, Ive added the model numbers to the original post.

Ive also tried positioning the TL-WPA4220 closer to my router, pairing and cloning my routers wifi settings (via WPS) and the powerline & wifi lights are both flashing.

Thanks

Obviously one does not make multiple connections from the router into the powerline network. One PLC connects to the router with one cable. Then go pair all the PLCs into one single PLC network. Then after that, configure the wireless access points as needed.

OK, the TL-PA8030P wireless adaptor is out of the router.

The TL-PA8030P is plugged into the router with an Ethernet cable.
Another
TL-PA8030P is in a socket in the same room, successfully attached to the PLC network and connected to my PC with an Ethernet cable.

I've plugged in a
TL-WPA422 (wifi extender) into a socket in the same room as the router and I cant get this to pair. The Powerline LED is constantly flashing :(

Then connect to one of the 8030P using the tpPLC utility, and manually add the WPA422 by entering its ID code and then plugging it in.
