I've been using an AV500 paired with a TL-PA411 successfully for some time and have just bought the TL-WPA8630P kit (AV1200) in the hope that I could further extend the range by using both in combination.

I have setup the AV1200 kit fairly easily but have no luck pairing the AV500 (or TL-A411) with the new adapter.

I had thought the AV1200 is backward compatible. Am I wrong? Has anyone else had any success with this or similar?

First time posting here so I probably missed loads of info. I'll be happy to add anything if you let me know. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Set your AV1200 pair up, and then add the AV500 adapter in, using the keycode method on a PC connected to one of the AV1200 using the Powerline Utility software.

Thanks... I have now succeeded using the method suggested by QAQ.
