I have a Powerline network which includes a TP-Link TL-SF1005D Ethernet switch, 3 TP-Link 500 Mbps Ethernet adaptors and a TP-Link AV500 Wireless adaptor.

The problem I have is with the wireless adaptor. It doesn't connect to the Powerline network when it is plugged into the sockets of an outbuilding (which shares the same electicity supply).

At first, I thought that this might be because the outhouse was on an different circuit, but then I tried plugging an extension cable into a socket in a room where the adaptor works fine and then plugging the wifi adaptor into that - but the adaptor doesn't work when attached to an extension cable either. I also tried using one of my Ethernet adaptors and that doesn't work in the outhouse either.

Thanks for any ideas and assistance
