Hi

I have AV200 kit since a few years. Now I like to make my Powerline Network larger, including at least 1 wifi plug.

If I buy a AV1200 Wifi Kit and I put the base near my router and :
* 1 AV Wifi plug in the same network
* 2 old AV200 plug in the same network

Will this be compatible ?

What spead can I have on :
* wifi plug
* old AV200 plugs

Thank you

Dimitri

AV200 is the slowest standard that is still interoperable with the current ones - so yes, it will work. Powerline being a shared media network, only one agent can talk at any given time. So as long as the AV200 devices run their slow transmissions, nobody else can transmit. Think timeslices: When the AV200 device has 100% load, then the others get absolutely nothing done. AV200 at 50% load leaves 50% of the time for AV1200, for a theoretical (!) maximum of 600 Mbit/s.
