No support for GPT (>2TB) USB Drives on TL-WR902AC

Hi,
I recently purchased a TL-WR902AC to replace my old and slow HooToo Tripmate wireless router. I use it on the go, to stream video on and off my Maxtor m3 4TB drive, but the 150 mbps wifi just wasn't enough with multiple devices and more HD video.
I've been impressed with the TL-WR902AC speed, but hugely disappointed that it didn't recognise my hard drive... after all that's why I purchased it.
It took me a little playing around, my old 500GB USB drive worked ok, but finally discovered that the reason for my Maxtor m3 4TB not appearing was that it was formatted as GPT, as every drive over 2TB is.
I proved this by taking a memory stick which worked, and changed the format from MBR to GPT, and it was no longer recognised, changed it back to MBR and everything was ok again.
I found this link: http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-603.html
but there's no mention of MBR or GPT, or that the TL-WR902AC was one of your routers that is limited to 2TB.
I'm astonished that a brand new device, looks like it came out within the last 6 months, doesn't support GPT, when so many external drives now come pre-formatted with it, and my old HooToo which I've had for years handles it no problem.
Is there any plan to support GPT in a future firmware release, because otherwise the device isn't much use to me, as I'm not prepared to buy two 2TB drives and swap between them.
Thanks in advance.
