Hello,

Since DLan out of the choice (due to powerlines) I ran into problem that I need to use the range Extension of our wireless network to improve my internet stability.
The main router is a FritzBox 7580 my planned repeater is like in the title written the AC1350 C58 TPLink router.

Reason im writing here is because I am totaly lost and don't have any idea what to to next.
WDS doesn't seem to work anymore (due to the age and AVM not supporting it anymore)

My plan is to use 5GHz 802 network since I have no option at all to patch cables.

I have bought the router with the plan to use it as repeater. Any plans or uptodate guides how I can acomplish it (only have a regular network card in my PC. So connection the router to the existing "hostrouter" won't do any good. Esp. since the 7580 supports 5GHz frequence.).

Or does the plan not work anymore (hardware problems) and I need to rollback to some other plans.

Regards Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Not quite understanding what you really want. As you said, WDS is not a option. If so, you may connect the TP AC1350 C58 router to the main router FritzBox 7580 by cable. If cable is not an option either, I guess you can get a range extender instead of the router. Hope it helps.

AP200, AP300, or AP500 can provide this functionality. Archer C58 can only function as a router, not as a wireless client.
