Model :

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version :

ISP :

my T9UH adapter's connections brakes for a few seconds ever so often, I wonder if anyone have seen this problem and has a solution.

Windows 10 Education, i7-4770HQ driver.

also the driver from official website gives a setup.exe from 10/31/2016 that installs a driver from 12/10/2015, and if I run 'search automatically online for update' it will change to a 4/1/2016 version. Which one should I be using?
(the brakes happen on 12/10/2015 driver, trying 2016 for now)

update:
2016 driver still disconnects, most frequent being twice within 15min and other times it's fine for hours.
I found another 'Archer T9UH(EUUS)_V2_170823_windows' that gives a 7/25/2017 setup.exe but the exe doesn't work, agree to 'allow the app to make changes' and then nothing happens. same applies for 5/16/2017 version of 170623 driver.

Ok.. just incase anyone else reads this in the future, I managed to fix the problem.

To clarify... my problem was that my t9uh would often drop to only 128mb/s (16MB/s)  to 192mb/s when copying files across my local network, to another hard wired machine.

If I reinstalled the driver, it appeared to fix the problem for a while, only to slow down again a few days later.

I have since used a driver update program to update ALL of my drivers on the PC, including the underlying USB root/hub driver, and this appears to have fixed the problem.

It has been many days and I am now still getting max speeds (80-90 MB/s file copies) across the network.

Try this unofficial one I packed. Fixed all issues with my T4UH on Windows 10, and should support the chip (Realtek RTL8814AU) in the T9UH. I'd love to find out if it works. :)

It works for T9UH.
Connection speed wise there's a 10% increase then the Oct.2016 driver. Disconnection is random so I'll wait and see, so far it's good.

Great work, tplink should pay you for this.

I've been using a variety of drivers, from TP LINK, Realtek, and the 'unofficial' one for my T9UH and all have the same problem. Regardless of which driver I use, I can always get a solid 1.3GB connection (according to windows networking). However, often, the file copy speed over the LAN, is very slow, sometimes capping out at 16MB/s, or 24MB/s (128/192 mbs). There are 2 ways I can fix this:- 1) Start the file copy again, and it will often jump up in speed. (These are usually large files, so its not caching). 2) Reinstalling the driver Either way .. I'm back up to what I would consider full speed (80-90 MB/s file copy). However, a few hours to a few days later, its back to 16 - 24 range again.

Yet again... same thing happened today.

Found a driver that appeared to work, and 'survived' several reboots. Immediately got 80-90 MB/s whilst copying files across the LAN.

3 days later.. even this driver now suddenly is capped at 24MB/s. Simply reinstalled the driver, and back up to full speed again.

Checking device manager, it doesn't look like windows did a sneaky driver update inbetween,.. I'm basically installing the same driver every 2-3 days just to keep my intranet speeds at full whack.

No idea what is causing this.

@Rofo

Hello,

Did you copy the file between two devices through the wireless connection? Or one is in the wireless connection, another one is in the wired connection?

How about the speed of copy files on other devices? You can do a comparison.

Have you tried to change the wireless channel and channel width on the router? Does the issue happen when connecting to the 2.4G wifi or 5G wifi?

In case the driver update automatically, you can turn off the automatic update function on the computer.

Finally, try to use the adapter on another computer and test.
