I currently have a HDD connected through USB to my Archer C2 and set up as a storage share.

It works great but after a while the network always drops out (i.e. no connection to router, no wifi access). All the green light indicators appear normal on router however network access continues only after rebooting the router.

Is it normal for this to happen when a HDD is connected? the drive is inside an enclosure and powered separately.

Thanks for any help.

I have the exact same problem with the C4000. TP-Link says they can't replicate it but it happens to me consistently with two different Macbooks.
