Can I add a default static route over the LAN (Archer C1200)
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
I'm using an Archer C1200 as an AP, not as a router, with the wired cable in one of the LAN sockets (and the WAN socket unconnected). The 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 route gets added, but I can't seem to add a 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 default route pointing to my 192.168.1.1 main router.
This doesn't seem to be a problem for the machines connecting to WiFi (they get DHCP from my main router and I presume that gives them the correct default gateway of 192.168.1.1), but it is a problem for the C1200 itself: for example it can't read pool.ntp.org to set its time.
Should I do things differently when setting up the C1200 as an AP? Is there a trick I can use?
