i found that on the tp-link website , tl-wn722n v3 driver for Operating System: Linux Kernel 2.6.18~3.19.3
maybe this is the issue?

I am also facing the same problem in compiling the drivers for my Kali distribution. Here is my result of $ cat /proc/version:

Sorry if I am replying to an old post, but I need to share my problems I am facing because I recently purchased the TL-W722N V3 adapter and it is really frustrating to face this problem for the first time.
