General question regarding wireless network extension

I am using two TL-WPA4220 (AV600) powerline adapters to extend my wireless network to areas of my home. Obviously, there are areas served by the wireless output of both adapters where the signals overlap.
My question is, is it better to have both adapters set to the same wireless output channel or have them fixed on different channels? Or leave them set on "Auto"?
