Hi

we are using several TP-LINK Archer T6E AC1300 Dual Band PCIe Cards with a Broadcom Wireless 802.11ac chip.They should have a maximum throughput of 867MBit/s-5GHz, 400MBit/s-2,4GHz, 802.11ac/a/b/g/n

Windows 10 (1803) 64-Bit only shows a connection type of 802.11n and the maximum connection speed in most times is only 78Mbit/s only sometimes 130Mbit/s.

We tried different drivers and settings on the card, but its always the same and we are not able to use 5Ghz Connections.
But it would available because other devices in our corporate wifi can connect easily in AC-Mode to the APs.

We tried 7.35.338.0, 7.35.340.0, 7.35.352.0 but you cannot see or connet to the 5Ghz WiFi.

Any Ideas?

Regards

Peter

The T6E and T9Es are always having problems, especially with Windows 10. Honestly I'd recommend getting different cards or using Windows 7.

Specificially, they use Broadcom chips while other TP-Link devices use Realtek chips. Realtek is better at updating their drivers for Windows 10.

Latest driver for this card is from 2015. That is the problem I guess. I couldn't sort out this issue with connecting to 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz network, my router is Asus RTAC66U. I've made tethering from my mob phone over 5Ghz network and I also couldn't connect to 5Ghz/2.4 network. Card just stopped working, windows says, You cannoy connect to this network. I've reinstalled drivers, reinstalled windows, restarted and reinstalled RTAC66 settings, changed network name, channed channel and basicly tried everything thrown in google results. Nothing helped... and what made me laughing, I contacted support to get some new drivers, they gave me some useless links to windows patch that I couldn't install on my windows 10 64bit and... when I replied that it doesn't work communication went silent. I'm dissapointed with support. I have one more year warranty for T6E and I'm about to use it this week. I'll get some AC card from ASUS.

@dareknowak

I encounter the same problem. I want my T6E cards to connect with 5 Ghz.

Does anyone have a solution? Are there any other (generic) drivers that can be used?
