Hello:

I have recently had intermitnet connectivity issues with my primary internet provider.  I have the Archer C9 (12 mo old).  I was wondering if there is a way I can connect my cell phohe (hotspot or cable) to my router as the internet source while waiting for the internet (TWC) to come back on?

If so, some rough guidance would be helpful.  I see dual band but I'm pretty sure that refers to the signals available for wifi (2.4 & 5Mhz bands).

If not, is there a newer / better router that would?  I'd hate to spend $300 - $400 for a router but might need to.  Also, what is the name of that feature when looking at higher end routers?

I appreciate your help & time.

Tx-

George (Spritey).

You can't do it with the factory firmware... but you can do it with ddwrt. DDwrt supports the archer c9. Here is a page how to setup the phone as a second wan port on ddwrt : https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Cellular_Phone/USB_Modem_as_WAN_connection
