Map network drive for (USB) HDD connected to WR1043nd and WIN10-1809 problem.

Solved.

Win 10 Smb2 is suddenly a problem, thanks to Microsoft. My solution: in Windows features

run C:\Windows\System32\OptionalFeatures.exe

check this mark (with the three underlying marks; probably automatically):

* Smb1 1.0 File Sharing support

And restart.

Works for me......

--> Map network drive is possible now with the IP adres (192.168.0.1).

Not with a name (... not yet found...). IP address is working OK and showing up!

Do not try to add Smb1 and Smb2 keys in the register: apparently Windows needs

to install drivers. The registy modification doesn't install these drivers.

And why does the network assistent from Microsoft not come up with a solution?

--> I do not know anyone that has ever solved a problem with the Window problem solver....

Succes,
