TP-Link WR740N can't connect to PPTP server

Firmware Version : 3.16.6 Build 130529 Rel.47286n
ISP :
When ever I try to use PPTP/Russia PPTP to connect to a VPN server it just says "connecting", I used different PPTP accounts
I even tried to use pptpd as my server.
please help...

Hi, for your information, the WR740N does not support VPN server which is secured, in other word, it can be connected to the VPN server without password.
You can try to disable the security of VPN server and give it a go.
