Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 3.15.3 Build 150511 Rel.55816n

Hi, in 2015 I upgraded to the latest firmware 3.15.3 Build 150511 Rel.55816n for my V1 Archer C7 ever since then whenever there is a power outage the router losses all settings and restores to factory settings, looses SSIDs, IP settings and etc.

Very frustrating - because there are a lot of threads about it and at the end somebody very experienced suggests to click the reset button because from the description of the problem it seems the reset button has stuck (not going to comment how lame this statement is...)

So... problem fixed (for now)

Just downgrade to 3.15.1 Build 141204 Rel.39308n

And if somebody from TP-Link happens to read this - Please fix the problem :)

Shot in the dark... Check the reset button and see if it happens to be stuck. You should hear a click or fell it click when depressed. Do not hold it in long as that resets the router. Let us know if it works for you.

Hi,

That is weird, cause it can be fixed via downgrade, so it has nothing to do with hardware.

Did you restore the configuration files after you updated the firmware? If so, you can try to update it again without restoring it.

If not, you may use the current firmware as a workaround.

Good day.
