Hello,

I need help with my new Brother HL 1222we. When I try to configure my laptop and smartphone for wifi printing there is the follow problem: Check that the wifi access point/router's privacy separator option is disabled.

I can't find this option in settings

It's most likely called AP isolation. You can find it in Advanced > System Tools > System Parameters > AP Isolation. My Chromecast wont work if it's enabled either, because it basically blocks wifi devices from communicating with each other :)

I find it but I can`t print

When I instal the printer setup and when get to the Wireless Device Setup the internet connection stop

and Failed to connect

when I click Next the next step is

I done everything as described but the printer doesn`t make a connection - it prints the WLAN accsess point/router cannot be detected. I try more then 10 times.

Is there any specific setting that I should do?

Hi,

How do you connect the printer to the router? By wired cable/wifi or USB cable?

With the printer connected to the laptop directly, does it work properly?

For the AP isolation, you need click system tools-system parameters to find it.

Have a nice day.

@Silviya Hello,

I am having the same problem.

I am trying to connect HL-1222WE to wifi and is not working.

The AP isolation is disabled. I checked in the Archer A6 settings for my Wifi connection.

Can you please tell me how you managed to work ?

@Dip45

How do you connect the printer to the router? By wired cable/Wi-Fi? Does it get an IP address successfully? You can check if you can ping it from the laptop as below:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/425/

How did you print before without this WR840N router? Kindly provide as much details as possible, then we can try to figure it out.
