Firmware Version: 3.13.9 Build 120201 Rel.54965n

Hi, I have, what looks like, the older version of the TL-WR940n.  It is a white router with 3 antennas, not the newer black model. I have NO idea why the newer black one has the exact same model number as my older white router??? lol   Anways, I downloaded the firmware, v4, from the us TPlink site, and got the error 18005.   I went to the Canadian TPlink site, and there is NO version 4 firmware listed.  However, on the Candian TPlink site, there are firmware download links for all of the other versions, 1 thru 6, excluding 4? 

 

Is there no Firmware upgrades for this older router, version 4?  

 

Again, the code i'm getting is 18005.  Thanks

Hi,

The error code means that the firmware and hardware does not match.

 

By comparing the firmware, the hardware version should be V1 not V4. And the current one is the latest one.
