Archer C6 2.4G band stops working, disable then enable restores
Recently purchased Archer C6 Router running the latest firmware. On 4 occasions the 2.4G WiFi band has stopped working, devices can connect to it but get no network access. Disabling and enabling the 2.4G band on the admin interface restores the connectivity, the 5G band is not affected, a device connected to it is used to reset the 2.4G band.
I used the chat support service to discuss the issue and the suggestion was to change from automatic to a fixed channel for the 2.4G band, this appeared to resolve the issue but it has happened again today, a phone which only works on 2.4G was showing the WIFI as access denied.
is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue.

No, I'm just waiting for a reply from Support.
I'm sure they will built a new beta, if they can find something. Or will ask more questions.
Will see...

Same problem here affecting only 2.4GHz. Running the factory firmware 1.1.5 Build 20191112 rel.36515(5553). 2.4GHz suddenly stops working, clients can still connect but can't reach the router (Archer C7), C6 is in Access Point mode. Reboot solves the problem until next hang. Thank God this hardware has openwrt support and my money will not be trashed!

Guys... I just realised that it is almost a week since last 2.4GHz network crash (at 1.3.6b)... Maybe it is fixed after all?!

Is this issue with the C6 affecting a lot of users? I have been running firmware version 1.3.4 for ages and haven't noticed any problems. I do reboot the router weekly on a schedule just because I remember reading it was good practice from a security point of view and I have disabled Guest networks. I know later firmware is available but reading these threads makes me think twice before updating. If it ain't broke....

@Slartibartfast Somebody said that it is for all users on 1.3.5 firmware. Until March this year I had absolutely no issues.

I had seen it with every 1.3.x firmware. But it is still unclear what is causing this.
TPLink knows about this, lets see what happens in the Future.
