Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.1

I've got a 3 pack of M5's

How many wireless devices can each M5 connect?

I'm seeing conflicting information online with 32, 64, even 100 suggested.

Do wired connections count too? (I have a 4 port switch connected to my main M5 as I had issues with the wired network not being the same as the mesh one)

@tgo

Please read the instruction below to get more information.

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1589/

What is the current network diagram? How do you connect these devices together?

How many clients have been connected to the Deco network?

What is the conflicting information you saw?

Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.

@Kevin_Z

Thanks for that, seems each of my M5's can have 32 wireless connections per band, so I'm good as I only have 13 or so devices (thus far) in total.

Network diagram would be.

Internet router > Master M5 > 4 port Switch > Wired PC, Wired Smart TV, Wired Android Box Wired EE Signal Box + various wireless connections

                        > M5 > Wired PC + various wireless connections

                        > M5 > Wired Smart TV + various wireless connections

Thanks for your reply.

From the network diagram attached, the Deco works in AP mode, and you can satisfy the network request for those devices.

And you can enjoy the internet with the Deco units.

If need more help, please let us know.

Best regards.
