Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1 build 20190617 Rel 47476

Hello - I've been experiencing regular problems with drop-outs recently on an M5 system (3 units) which I've had in place for just under 2 years. I recently purchased a mixture of generic smart plugs and bulbs and wondered whether they were causing the issue so I've been systematically removing things from the network and testing the results.

However the drop-outs continue. The symptoms are that all 3 units freeze with flashing red lights on them, and eventually reset themselves (with normal wifi service resumed) after about 10-12 minutes. But it's becoming more and more frequent. I've tried rebooting them without success.

Today I updated the firmware to 1.3.1 on them and now I have an additional problem: whilst all units display LEDs at green/working status, I can no longer see the 2 satellite units in my smartphone app (IOS12, iPhone). It only shows the main unit which has an ethernet cable into my modem.

Could anyone suggest what the next steps would be? Starting to tear my hair out on this.

@MartinMCR

Hello, we need do some troubleshooting first to locate the issue so that we can try to fix it later.

1. What is the current network diagram? How do you connect these devices together?

2. Is there any error message when the 2 satellite Decos disappeared from Deco app?

3. At that time, with computer connected to the main Deco directly, can you access internet? Try to simplify the network diagram, in other word, connect the main Deco to the modem only and then connect your computer to the main Deco to verify whether it works well.

4. If still the same, please connect the computer to the modem, bypass the main Deco to test whether the network works.

5. Besides, you can try to relocate them and swap the locations of Deco units.

Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.
