Model: Archer VR900
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 170119

Hello,

I have the following setup:

  • A cable modem-router, functioning as bridge only, connected via Ethernet cable to my 4 years old Archer VR900 (V1)

Everything was going well in the past years, till I purchased and connected a new Philips Hue bridge via Ethernet cable to the router.

At first everything was working just fine: All my wireless devices at home (I have planty) worked, the internet connection was stable and the Hue bridge functioned normally.

The problem starts when I open my laptop and connect to the wifi network (I have an old ASUS running Win10).

Once my laptop is connected to the Wifi, the internet drops from the network (the Wifi network is still running).

When removing the Hue bridge from the router and resetting it everything goes back to normal.

I tried connecting it to all available Ethernet slots.

Any ideas why this might happen?
