MR200 and MR600 keep dropping LTE connection !
I've tried two models: Archer MR200and now MR600. Both router constantly drop LTE connection. Another router, DLINK DWR921, on the same sim card, never drops LTE connection. My other devices on different sim cards don't drop connection in this area too.
Signal strength is 75% all the time (also durong connection drop it shows 75%). After connection drop the router has sometimes trouble reconnecting by itself. The drops happen multiple times a day, sometimes even as often as less than hour between.
i've tried (on both routers, now I only have the MR600):
- updating firmware
- manually creating ISP profile (the ISP is T-mobile Poland)
- moving the router around household
- rebooting multiple times
- power off/on cycles multiple times
- cleaning sim card
- antennas repositioning
Nothing helps. i'm gonna return the MR600 (alresdy returned MR200). And that's a pity because otherwise they are great devices, much better than tye D-LINK that I have...
Any ideas?

Wish I'd seen this thread before I bought my modem. I got it yesterday. This morning was disconnected. Requiring two reboots to get back online. If I change the APN I can get it to disconnect and not reconnect however if I reboot the modem once or twice it does reconnect to the new APN!
I've a full sim from ThreeUK with unlimited data.
I am getting 100% signal (about 197 meters away birds eye view when looking on google maps - confirmed the ID of the cell tower with what I'm connecting to).
Speed when working is 91meg down 32meg up (https://www.speedtest.net/result/9518922438)
I've just this morning updated the ISP file - however what does this actually do? I've added a second Three UK APN - does this file only contain a list of APNs?
1) Firmware Version:1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 190412 Rel.66770n Hardware Version:Archer MR600 v1 00000001
2) Connection showing as disconnected yet 100% signal.
Signal Strength:
100%
RSRP:
-69dBm
RSRQ:
-7dB
SNR:
21.0dB
3) Simcard works well in a mobile phone - also I bought a Smarty 4G unlimited single month contract for another project and tested this - also getting the same random disconnects. Finally tried the two ThreeUK APNs (Three.co.uk and 3Internet)
Very disappointed.

I'm running with the MR600 on the beta firmware at present. Three unlimited sim using the 3internet APN.
I get carrier aggregation 4G+ on bands 3 and 20. Signal strength is 75% using the bunny ear aerials, router inside my loft.
RSRP is -101, RSRQ is -10, SNR is 7.2.
Speed tests are encouraging. Latest is 43.4Mbps download and 22.7 Mbps upload.
Just got my kids to test online gaming with friends - a Minecraft party on the PS4 and some Mario Kart on the Switch. No problems.
Ping around 42ms reported by Fortnite.
No drops or restarts required so far and I'll keep testing.
Thought I'd post this here for info.

That sounds encouraging !!
Is the beta fw you re referring to can be accessed ?
I'm really ready to test any firmware as I currently can t use my MR600: LTE drops every 5 minutes...😭
Please let us know how it is working in the next days.
Regards.

@Duguy it's the MR600 beta firmware linked from this other thread:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/205912
I would add that I didn't experience any issues with the original firmware, and haven't seen any improvement by trying to use the band selection function. 4G+ with 3,20 gives me the best performance.

I have the same problem for at least 3 weeks now. MR600 and Smarty SIM card. I've tried reset and rebooting. Removing SIM. It says firmware it up to date. DNS is set to 8.8.8.8 and secondary to 1.1.1.1
Nothing works. Internet is fast when it works, but it's up and down all the time.
Also give error 80002 all the time. So I cannot log in just now and show you the model and firmware numbers.
I'm at a loss for next steps.

It is strange that people here are reporting so many problems with disconnections. My MR600 (beta firmware) never disconnects on Three and my signal statistics are much worse than others are listing. I have downloaded and scrutinised my MR600's system log, and there are no disconnections in 14 days since I last cleared the log.
I do wonder if this is linked to the provider in certain areas rather than the router?

I found out my carrier (T-Mobile) requires a disconnect every 24 hours. By changing the timezone of my MR200 I've managed to schedule the disconnect during midnight.
In other words, no more problems!!

Another one for the pile. Mine was working perfectly for four months. It has since developed all of the symptoms above. Completely unreliable now. Working from home and household use difficult.
Can connect to the config interface page from all of my devices no issue. Sometimes slower than others.
Swapped the SIM to the one in my cell phone and it works for a few minutes. Then slows to zero. On putting the one i need to use back in, the speed is improved briefly, but falls back to zero. Data use from iphone perfect.
Swapped from 4g to 3g in the interface and it worked briefly. Slows to zero. Has no effect now.
Toggled the mobile data button in the interface. Worked a few times. Has no effect now.
Updated the firmware to the most recent version - no change.
Reboot / power cycle worked - a few times. Makes no difference now.
Tried the DNS settings suggested. No change.
Firmware 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.44954n
Hardware Archer MR600 v1 00000001
s/n 219c476000361
imei 865371040522871
RSSI -51dBm
100% signal strength - 3 bars on the leds.
Smarty.co.uk (which is Three).
3G stonger here than 4G but speed was >25M for weeks. Intermittent now. Seldom reaches this now and typically is <1 on the speed test.
What is the warranty period on this unit? I'm very close to giving up messing with it. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE................

And email our support team(https://www.tp-link.com/support/contact-technical-support/) with forum ID 176752, or tag me here so that we could run further analysis to figure it out;
1. The model number of your LTE gateway router. And its hardware and firmware version.
Note: Please ensure the firmware is up to date.
2. the sim card Carrier;
3. Please give us a brief introduction to the disconnection issue and the troubleshooting method you have done and the corresponding results.
Note: Like the LED status, whether the sim card works stably in cellphone directly, whether the router still has a valid IP address and gateway when it lost the connection.
4. It would be highly appreciated that you could save us the pictures when the internet is fine and the internet is disconnected, especially the following information:
And there are some suggestions that you could have a try:
- Update the ISP profile: (take MR600 for example) https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/archer-mr600/#ISP_File
How to update the profile: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2583/
2. Manually set up DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in the DHCP module and remote the router once;
Thanks for your support and cooperation in advance. Good day.

Hi,
I recently purchased an MR600 that I am using for 4G router. The modem keeps dropping the LET connection every while (sometimes minutes). The only option to restore the connection is to reboot it.
I tried to reach support, but no response from them.
I am based on Saudi Arabia, So, I could not find an ISP profile upgrade for my area.
Pics are attached for your reference.
