Hello TP-Link community!

 

Couple of month ago we purchased the Deco P7 mesh network (set of 3). When it works, it works really well. Except we have one recurrent problem: devices randomly lose connection to the network. 

 

What happens:

 

- Device loses connection entirely.

- After a few seconds it tries to reconnect, however, the devices are often stuck on "verifying ip-adres" (sometimes for minutes). 

- Sometimes it even fails to reconnect (have to go WIFI and press connect again to the network to make it work).

 

The firmware is up-to-date. We tried reconfiguring the network (removed all decos with the main one factory reset). Played around in the settings as well (turned off 5GHz, network switch allocated static IP to Deco, turning on and off fast roaming/beam roaming).

 

Does anyone else faced similar issues or have any ideas how to fix this problem?

Hello, Mark, we will do some troubleshooting first to locate this issue and try to fix it. 

 

1. What is the current network diagram? 

2. What is the led status of the Deco P7 when you lost connecttion? Can you get internet from it by wired cable connected?

3. Try to simplify the network diagram, connect the main Deco to the modem only and connect computer to the main Deco with other devices unplugged, after that, please check the network stability.

4. Try to set the slave Deco as main Deco to give it a go. https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2400/
