Deco P9 Mesh, hardwire connected via Ethernet & Powerline?
Hello there,
I am looking at buying the TP-LINK Deco P9 Powerline Mesh.
My house is currently wired as follows:
Half the house has Cat6 ethernet cable sockets (This feeds into a central server room with a rack and location of BT modem router)
Other half of the house does not have ethernet sockets
I wanted to know whether I could do the following with the P9 units.
Have some P9's connected to internet via hardwire via ethernet (not wifi)
Have some P9's connected to internet via powerline (not wifi)
Example:
BT Smart Hub 2 > ethernet > server rack > ethernet point (bedroom) > P9 Unit 1
BT Smart Hub > ethernet > server rack > ethernet point (kitchen) > P9 Unit 2
BT Smart Hub > ethernet > server rack > ethernet to powerline unit (from server rack) > P9 Unit 3
All to spread one SSID around the entire house. Essentially Access Point mode, via ethernet and powerline.
Is this possible?
