Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi

I have recently purchased and set up a 2 unit Deco M9 mesh which works great for most of the house but I would like to extend coverage into a couple of lesser used areas with some additional units.

If I extend the mesh with M4 units rather than M5 or M9 would I lose access to any features currently provided by the M9, such as anti-malware, as the M9 would still be the main hub unit?

The M4 is slightly cheaper than the M5 with comparable performance as far as I can tell and so should be more than adequate to extend the mesh in the other areas from a performance perspective.

Many thanks

Mark

Hi Mark, you can use Deco M4 to extend the mesh wifi network. The anti-malware function still works, and the Deco M9 plus will be the main Deco.

Good day.
