Dear Team,

I recently purchased a TL-PA4010P and it works perfectly.

However I do have an old WIFI modem with me that I want to put to use.

1. Can I connect the other end to the WIFI, so I can make the upperstairs room WIFI enabled?

2. Do i have to configure the old WIFI modem to work with the adapters?

3. If yes, kindly provide a guideline

The old WIFI modem is a D-Link DIR-615

Except the TL-PA4010P, do you have any powerline extender which supports wifi function? If so, you can pair them and relocate the extender unit to boost the wifi signal.

Or you can connect the old wifi modem to the powerline adapter to boost wifi signal. You can configure it as a regular router or access point. The accurate configuration steps vary due to different manufacturer, it is suggested to contact the tech support of D-link to get some help.
